Profile Fixed Chainline = 44mm
Profile Fixed Hubs, like all of our products, are made in our machine shop in St. Petersburg, Florida.
I get a lot of questions asking if Profile's Tubular CrMo cranks can be used with a fixed gear bike. The answer is yes, but there's a few things you need to know first.
• We only make English BB's. If your frame has an Italian or a French BB shell, Profile cranks aren't going to fit.
• The most common Bottom Bracket shell width is 68mm, which requires a black tube spacer. A 73mm BB shell uses a gold tube spacer.
• Because of the extreme forces a fixed gear drivetrain places on the sprocket, a standard BMX sprocket won't last very long. Your best bet is to run a spider and chainrings. Profile has spiders in 104mm, 110mm, and 130mm bolt patterns. A Profile spider sits flush to the bottom bracket spindle with no additional spacers. You should still lock-tite the sprocket bolt in place, as well as check the sprocket bolt frequently to ensure that it's tight.
• We will be introducing an all new crankset later this summer that should eliminate the need for sprocket bolts, please keep checking this space for additional details.
