I've got a bunch more news to post, stay tuned...
-gob (This has been floating around our servers for a week or so due to massive confusion on my part as to which server I was supposed to be uploading news articles to.)
OK, a little news.
I don't even have the prototypes yet, but Fixed/Fixed Profile hubs are in the pipeline and should be on team rider's bikes before a whole lot longer.
I've put together a spline drive prototype bike. The spline drive system eliminates the sprocket bolt, which has proven to be the weak link with running Profile cranks with Fixed Gear bikes. So I'll be playing around with that, and as soon as I have some 165mm versions, Tom and Burd will be playing around with them too. For now, if you're running Profile cranks on your fixed bike and you're having issues with the sprocket bolt, email me (christian at profileracing dot com) and I'll send out a solution we worked up here. It's a set screw and a lock-nut that replaces the sprocket bolt. You loctite the crap out of the set screw, and then torque down the lock nut. It's not perfect, but it's better than riding around tightening up your sprocket bolt every few hours.
We'll have a bad ass FBM/Profile/Artist to be named later collabo bike in the Profile booth at Interbike this year. FBM is making 5 framesets for it, and we're supplying hubs, it's going to be pretty damn sweet.
